A survey by industry experts Horses for Sources, indicated that 25% of organisations would be more likely to outsource if there was another recession. Remaining half of public sector will outsource by end of 2012

48% of public bodies not already engaged in some form of outsourcing are considering doing so over the next 12 months, according to new research.

A poll of 50 public sector managers carried out by DDC Outsourcing Solutions demonstrates an appetite for business process outsourcing (BPO) by local and central government, national health, emergency services and education authorities, with a reduction in overheads and improvement in quality at the tops of agendas everywhere. Potential VAT benefit for charities using outsourcing

Lobbying on behalf of the third sector appears to be having an effect, after Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne announced plans for VAT changes in his autumn statement.
