Trio to boost charity lottery with new initiative.
Press Release – June 2010
Lotteries and raffles are a main way that charities generate income. They are easy to organise and with a little imagination can put much needed funds in the bank for charities. However, the popular model of doorstep sales or the village fete tombola are declining in popularity, and now three companies are challenging it with a new initiative designed to reach more people than ever.
DDC Outsourcing Solutions, Pollards Printing and iConsentic are joining forces to develop a charity raffle initiative that will take the process into the 21st century.
DDC OS Managing Director Colin Gray said: ”We are delighted to be working with Pollards and iConsentic on this project. The internet is the quickest, easiest and cheapest way for charities to communicate with their supporters. An online charity lottery campaign would streamline a process, making data capture easier and encouraging more people to take part.”
“By teaming up DDC OS can offer the whole package, from printing the raffle and lottery tickets, to database management and donation collection.”
Pollards is a print and design agency that has over 70 years experience printing tickets for charity raffles. Doug Myatt, at Pollards said:
“Lotteries and raffles work, they have a simple structure that is easy to understand and allows anyone to participate. A raffle campaign can bring in new supporters and build a greater database of potential donors.”
“However, the recession has seen a vast decline in participants and charities’ budgets are under increasing pressure. They can’t afford to pour money down the drain on a marketing campaign that costs more than it returns. By teaming up we are offering a wealth of established and proven expertise, tailoring a campaign to suit the charity and its target demographic.”
